HOW WE WORK

You get the documents to us and we’ll do the rest – it’s that simple!

Mail sent to our street address (Suite 5, 71 Angas Street, Adelaide) is automatically relayed to our GPO box by the postal authorities.

You can sometimes fax your documents to us – check with your legal advisor or issuing court first! The same applies to emailing them. It might be quick, but is it legal?

On receipt, your documents are then sent out for service and after they’re served – we ring you or email you to let you know. Affidavits of Service are then prepared and sent back to you with a report and account (unless you’ve prepaid – see options below).

You can pre-pay by forwarding a bank draft for $AUD75.00 or by credit card. If you pre-pay, the reference is your SURNAME.

Payments for account customers can be credited direct to our bank account via EFT and we ask that you PLEASE quote your INVOICE NUMBER(S) as a reference! Or you can use your credit card as you would for paying any purchase.  For EFT, our banking details are:

PROCESS SERVING

Australia-wide and overseas. Through years of experience and more recently the Internet, we have developed a "world wide web" of agents and can arrange service throughout Australia and in most overseas countries.

We are familiar with the requirements of each Australian State or Territory so far as correct service and completion of proof documents is required. All Affidavits of Service, regardless of jurisdiction, are compiled in-house unless our client requests otherwise.

Locally, we aim to effect service promptly and when doing so, note such things as cars, condition of real property, attitude of defendant/respondent etc so as to provide "meat" to our reports and give our clients an insight into the physical situation of "the other side". This frequently assists our clients in making informed decisions regarding any future conduct of the matter at hand and can either save their client additional funds, or effect a recovery that was previously not thought possible.

As soon as service is effected, clients are telephoned by the process server, or emailed to advise them of service and any other relevant facts. In the case of "after hours" service, clients are contacted as soon as possible the following morning.

In Family Law matters, we file Affidavits of Service for our clients in the Family Court/Federal Magistrates Court (in Adelaide only) at no extra charge.

We do not charge extra for "urgent" jobs in the metropolitan area  - all jobs are urgent.

We charge a flat fee for service in metropolitan Adelaide, regardless of the number of attempts. This fee is currently $AUD75.00 including GST, but fees are subject to change without notice and do not include extras, for example, Notary Fees, disbursements or search fees etc.

Country work, outside the Adelaide metro area, is charged on a “time+mileage” basis and so the cost for each job may vary considerably, particularly if an urgent service at a remote location is requested. For more information, please contact us so that we can give you an indication on price. In general, we service an area up to 300 kilometres from Adelaide city and fees are charged on a “per trip” basis.
